It has been a while since I wanted to create another post related to nails, but this time, with shorthand nails. To be honest, when it comes to manicure and pedicure my preferences are clear: short feet nail, and medium-long hand nails (even if rarely I enjoy short nails). This is the main reason for this post, a full graphic blog post about the process of my manicure and pedicure at home, without any professional tools, just a woman, at home, taking care of her nails, hands, and feet.
By the way, the tools I use can be found at any
pharmacy or dollar store. Only one thing: remember to keep your tools clean and disinfected.
Remember: you need to have PATIENCE and enjoy the
experience because it takes hours to get a proper manicure and pedicure, even more if you don't have experience.

TOOLS.
Foot file, nail file, nail clipper, cuticle cutter, and cuticle pusher. I use also nail oils and body milk to moisturize my nails and
skin, but I think that everyone does that, since nobody wants dry skin.
But the main thing every human being needs to carry out a good pedicure is WARM WATER, why? Because it softens everything: dead skin cells, cuticles, calluses, etc, making everything easy to remove.
I left my hands in warm water for one to two minutes,
to then start with the cuticle pusher and the cuticle cutter. One thing to keep
in mind while you are using these tools is to be careful since you can hurt yourself
in a really bad way, so take your time, and just enjoy the process.
Then, is time to cut the nails with the nail clipper, file
the nails carefully, giving them the shape, you want, and finally, moisturize
your nails and hand with your favorite oil or lotion.
FEET.
I left my feet in warm water for 30-40 minutes, to
then dry them slightly, and start filing the heels of my feet. When you start
filing your feet’s heels, you need to make sure that you are eliminating
carefully all the dead skin cells, it can take long minutes, so be patient.
Then, I started with my feet’ nails like in my hands: cuticle
pusher, cuticle cutter, nail clipper, and nail file. Sometimes (if necessary) I
use a specific type of cuticle cutter to cut the sides of the big toenail, the
ones shaped like tweezers.
COLOR.
Nail treatment + Nail polish + Topcoat.
