April last ride: skincare products review.

Wednesday, May 1, 2024

This month have been full of new discoveries, based on new purchases like L’orĂ©al face serum and moisturizer, vitamin C face toner by one of my favorite skincare brands, and a purifying gel face cleanser that turned out to be more gentle that appears. April 2024, have been full of hidden gems, that deserves more credit!

  • Lemon’C Squeeze ampoule toner, by It’s Skin.

One of the most famous face toners in South Korea, have arrived to my dresser, and with it, to my daily skincare routine. Its main ingredients are lemon extract (vitamin C), and 8 different types of Hyaluronic Acid, that helps to illuminate, and balance the skin.

Using it, I could realize why is so famous, since it combines the benefits of a face toner + face ampoule, obtaining as a result a rich formula, that balance and treat the skin, leaving it more luminous, moisturized, and full of life, as an immediate result. After a few weeks of use, the skin becomes more even, by reducing spots, helping to reduce pimples, as well as improving small expression lines.

Neither as liquid as a toner, nor as dense as an ampoule, but with a formula and texture that allows the facial moisturizer to be applied directly, not necessarily needing a face serum.

  • Hemp seed cleansing foam, by The Nicess.

Particularly surprising for the price! Usually, this type of face cleansers are very drying, being the reason why their prices are too low (max 3USD). With a vegan formula, its main ingredient is hemp seed oil, well know for being a natural source of Omega 3, 6, and 9 which helps to condition the skin.

Not the best cleanser, but a good one to keep in mind, especially when we cannot afford to spend a lot of money on a water based facial cleanser. Not the richest formula, but a decent one, that removes all the impurities from the skin, without drying it, or leaving it tight.

  • Nourishing cleansing Paste, by Eco U.

Based on the name, technically, it fulfills the function of a cleansing balm, but reading the instructions, its function is exfoliant, an exfoliating paste, composed mostly of natural ingredients.

Is not a product that I would recommend, since firstly it leads to confusion, and secondly, it has an aggressive formula and texture for the skin, making it quite uncomfortable to rinse. Its texture scratches the skin, far from exfoliating it without damaging it.

  • Cleansing balm, by Fluff.

This two cleansing balm are absolutely a hidden gems! The formula, the texture, and the smell are just amazing; they dissolve and remove all the makeup, pollution residue, or any trace of impurities from the skin, even wax traces.

Since they are very affordable, I don’t mind the product size (50ml).

  • Revitalift laser serum, by L’OrĂ©al; Green Grape pore control serum, by Frudia.

The L’OrĂ©al serum, improves skin texture, and helps to reduce skin blemishes. I used it at night, along with my night face moisturizer, and after a week of use, I started to see results: my skin was more even, and plump.

On the other side, the one by Frudia, was a totally discovery, since it balance the skin, by reducing the skin sebum production, helping to maintain the face fresh, and healthy-matt.

  • Aqua non-stop active sun protection 50+spf, by Anne Moller; Avocado greenery relief sun cream, by Frudia.

The one by Anne Moller, ended up being one of my favorites face sun protection, for its formula, texture, and ingredients, that does not leave white cast, soft with the skin, provides a 360º sun protection, and does not sting the eyes. By the way, the one by Frudia, is the opposite: it leaves white cast, and sting the eyes.

  • Revitalift face moisturizer anti-wrinkles and extra firmness, by L’orĂ©al; Blanc de Noirs, night face moisturizer, by Natura Siberica.

I really loved both. L’orĂ©al face moisturizer, is like an all in one morning boost, it protects the skin from sun damage (fps 30), and it helps to treat different skin problems like blemishes, fine lines, dark spots, and wrinkles: The only handicap? It can’t be used around the eye area.

On the other side, Natura Siberica face moisturizer, turn out to be a very complete night moisturizer, with a very pleasant texture, that deeply moisturize the skin, leaving it full of youth, to wakeup the next day like a queen.

  • Purifying gel enriched with chamomile and Gotu Kola, by Kueshi.

Another hidden gem, that softly cleans and purify the skin. Normally, when names such as purifying or deep cleansing appear among the properties of a skin care product, they sound like a red flag for sensitive skin, however, this time it is not the case. This purifying gel, has as main ingredients chamomile and Gotu Kola, both famous for treat sensitive skin problems without damaging the skin barrier.

Cleans the skin in depth, is not drying, and it does not damage the skin barrier.

What I have been loving and discovering since January! April Update.

Friday, April 15, 2022

Hello, my readers! It has been a while since my last post in January 2022, but recently a lot of things have been happening in my life (and I’m grateful for all the good things), and now I finally can write again every week, sharing beauty content (one of my passions). So…let’s start!

As a beauty lover, I love to discover new products no matter the price, with only one requirement: they must be cruelty-free. Keeping that in mind, I must confess that this post is full of low-cost beauty products that work heavenly!

REVUELE.

If you have been reading my post you will know that months ago, I had the opportunity to test a lot of products of this brand that is the young sister of Revox, and I ended up loving some products, making me want to continue testing them. The latest products that I have been trying are the Retinol Forte Night Cream, and the Hydro-jelly Watermelon face moisturizer.

  • The Retinol Forte Night Cream, is a moisturizer with an interesting list of active ingredients like Retinyl Palmitate, Shea Butter, Provitamin B5, Hyaluronic acid, Pea extract, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C. The main objective of this moisturizer is to brighten the skin, fade dark spots, treat, and prevent fine wrinkles, and nourish the skinHaving used it for a couple of weeks, even if is too early to have a conclusion, my first impression is great. It moisturizes the skin, and the formula is not heavy, but to see if it really works, I will need to continue using it a little longer.

  • The Hydro-jelly Watermelon, face moisturizer is a moisturizer based in two main ingredients: watermelon and hyaluronic acid. I was curious to try it since it remembers me to another high-end brand with a similar concept called The Glow Recipe, plus the fact that it has a cream-gel texture. I just fell in love with this product. It doesn’t make miracles, but it moisturizes the skin really well, and smells delicious. By the way, it has a really nice creamy-gel texture, which makes the product fast absorbing. The best part? 100ml size!

ORJENA.

I remember discovering this Korean brand a while ago, and deeply falling in love with it, and now I still think the same. The products I have been using from Orjena are the Tea Tree Cica cleansing foam, and the Banana cleansing foam.

  • The Tea Tree Cica cleansing foam, has turned into one of my favorite Korean face cleansers since The Saem ones. Even if the entire social media influencers have been talking about how amazing Cica is, as always, I was curious but skeptical, but now, I have no words. The product itself is rich, soothing, and moisturizing. It deeply cleans the skin, without drying it, but the most interesting fact is that I could feel like somehow it helped me to treat my problematics zones, non-causing any irritation.

  • The Banana cleansing foam, is completely different. Even if is not a bad face cleanser, it dries out my skin, so I need to use it obligatorily only as a second step in my routineOn the other side, when it comes to the smell, it really smells like bananas, without being annoying.

LIYAL’AN.

When I say that I love to discover cruelty-free beauty brands from around the world, I’m serious. This skincare brand is from China, and their products are made from natural ingredients, making me want to give all of them a try to see how they work. So I ended up gaving their face cleanser an opportunity, and it really surprised me a lot.

Liyal’an Turmeric gel face cleanser is a soft face cleanser with main ingredients like turmeric, aloe vera, tea tree oil, and chamomile. My personal experience with the product is really good, it softly cleans the skin without drying it, but the most curious thing was that it has no soap, and it leaves the skin really soft and conditioned.

AQC FRAGRANCES.

As a sweet-floral fragrance lover, I love to perfume myself, but there are some days that I don’t want to use perfumes or any Eau the cologne, so I fill my body skin with body mist!

This time, I discovered a Spanish brand that make me want to buy the entire line. The fragrance lasts all day, being soft and a little bit intense at the same time, without becoming an Eau the cologne.

Fun fact? Developed in the EU but made in China.
