Beating low budget with high quality low-cost beauty products.

Tuesday, January 4, 2022

Sometimes in life our economy and personal desires don’t vibes in the same tune, since life can be unpredictable, and being the main reason why I really wanted to create a high-quality low-cost makeup and skincare post for everybody, based on cruelty free brands which also have some vegan lines/products.

Far away from typical brands like The Ordinary, Maybelline, CeraVe, ELF or NYX; I want to share with you other brands like Revuele, Focallure, Too Cool for School, Kueshi, Essence, Miraculum, Sleek, Kallos Cosmeticsor W7.

MAKEUP.

Everybody knows Maybelline, ELF, NYX, L.A girl, even L.A colors, but have you ever eared about Lovely Makeup, Focallure, Sleek, Essence or W7? Some of their products have nothing to envy high-end brands, being Sleek, W7, and Essence the most international, in comparison with Focallure and Lovely Makeup, but all of them amazing makeup brands with incredibles products from 2USD to 10USD.

  • Lovely Makeup, has one of the best eye mascaras I ever used in my life, going always back to them, even if I try and love other ones like the Telescopic by L’Oréal.
  • Focallure owns incredibles pigmented and beautiful eyeshadows palettes, that are easy to use and mix, with the only fact that some of their eyeshadows can be little dusty.
  • Sleek, one of my favorites makeup brands! The quality of their products always leaves me without words. They work with a wide range of skin tones, from the palest shade to the deepest dark chocolate skin tone. I always thought that if M.A.C cosmetics one day decided to create a low-cost makeup brand, it will be something like Sleek, that have absolutely nothing to envy from other high-end brands, like M.A.C. (even if I love their products with all my heart).
  • W7, is incredible how among with other amazing makeup brands like Makeup Revolution or Technique, which have the same concept, W7 has been evolving and improving the quality of its products over the years. My favorites products are the Banana Dreams loose powder, their blushes and eyeshadows palettes, which are really good.
  • Essence, I hate their facial care line, but I love some makeup gems they have like their Long-lasting eyeliners, lip-glosses, and lipsticks.

SKINCARE.

Let’s run for awhile from CeraVe, Nivea, The Ordinary, Good Molecules, and The Inkey List, to open our minds to others amazing options to start testing and enjoy them, here we have: Miraculum, Bio Glow, Revuele, Revox, Natura Siberica, Too Cool for School, Kueshi, Orjena, Babaria, and Kallos cosmetics. From 3USD to 6USD.

  • Miraculum and Bio Glow, owns some amazing face scrubs for sensitive skin, that removes all the dead skin cells without causing irritation.
  • Revuele and Revox, the first one has one of the best low-cost organic and vegan skincare line that I ever taste and seen, being my favorites products the CBD face serum, CBD moisturizer, and the Nourishing Mud Mask; by the way, the minimalistic and effective skincare line called JUST by Revox, have one of the best Vitamin C serum I ever tried, starting to show results in a week.
  • Natura Siberica, from the concept to the packaging and the products itself, make it an incredible must try brand. My actual favorites products are their shampoos, mask, and conditioner.
  • Too Cool for School and Orjena, both are Korean skincare brands with incredibles products to enjoy. Having sensitive skin, with Too Cool for School I discover one of the best face cleanser the Egg Mouse Soap; on the other part, Orjena face mask, deeply moisture the face and the neck.
  • Kueshi and Babaria, with similar concepts but with very different products, and composed mainly by ingredients of natural origin, both brands have great products to discover. My actual favorites are the face toner by Kueshi, and the Aloe Vera face moisturizer among with the Aloe Vera body milk by Babaria.
  • Kallos Cosmetics, from hate to love, this brand has earned my respect and affection. I have only tried their hair care line, and my favorites are the Pro-tox hair shampoo, and the Omega hair mask! The first one cleans the hair without drying it, and the second one conditions my natural hair leaving my curls soft, but the most important thing is the fact that this products barely have silicones, and for the price… I leaved without words!

INCREDIBLE AFFORDABLE GEL SHOWER FOR SENSITIVE SKIN.

Saturday, November 20, 2021

Find new affordable skincare products is always pleasant, even more having dry-sensitive body skin. My current favorite shower gel is the one for sensitive skin by Lactacyd, which have as one of the main ingredients Acid Lactic, that condition, calm, and moisturize sensitive skin, acting at the same time as a mild skin exfoliator, price: 8,23E/bottle (1L).

Even if the price is not bad, keeping in mind the ingredient list and the formula, I really needed to find other options in the market to have more options, and discover new brands that worth the money or are a “wtf this is amazing and so affordable”. So, this is how I ended discovering this gel shower by Byphasse, that claims being ideal for dry to very dry skin, with emollient and moisturizing properties, for only 1.50E/500ml.

With this line of products, the brand claims to use only the necessary ingredients to clean and moisturize the hair and skin, not leaving it dry and itchy. The components of the ingredient list are essentials (basics), the formula and product texture just feel very clean, fresh, and comforting.

Even if is not the most moisturizing and emollient gel shower that I ever tested, I find it a really good option, that cleans the skin without drying it out, with a neutral PH, and a soft-clean fragrance.

But to me the most surprising part was discover that the product is vegan! Usually, vegan products that works well for sensitive skin can be a little bit pricy, but with this product, that general rule is broken!

KEY INGREDIENTS.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine: skin conditioner.

Sodium Chloride: help to heal and exfoliate the skin.

Propylene Glycol: smooth and hydrates the skin.

Glycerin: moisturizing, emollient, and skin softener.

Glyceryl Oleate: enhances skin elasticity penetrating in the outer layer of the skin.

Maltodextrin: moisturizing, reduce skin irritation caused by other acids, and anti-aging.

Acid Citric: unclog pores, helps to even the skin, exfoliates the skin, and target brakeouts.

By the way, used as a primary face mask, it really calms, and shoots the skin, making it an incredible product to use before face shaving, sun bath, or skin burn.
