KALLOS COSMETICS, KALLOS HAIRCARE LINE: FINAL ROUND!

Thursday, June 6, 2024

Finally, I have finished testing a large part of the Kallos Cosmetis hair line, and I come to contribute my opinion based on knowledge.

Kallos Cosmetics is a Hungarian cosmetics brand, created in 1978 in Budapest, specializing in cosmetic products, ranging from body and hair care, to makeup, with a very competitive prices (low-cost). As can be seen in the blog archive, this is not the first time I have tried their products, since their prices and concept are highly tempting.

Simple formulas, based on active ingredients known for their effectiviness in the cosmetics market such as aloe vera, marine algae, hemp, etc., each one promising different results. Considering that when I was using these products, my hair was not straightened (Hair relaxer), completely natural (4C afro hair), this is my experience.

  • Hair Shampoo.

Although Kallos Cosmetics does not have the best low-cost shampoos on the market, it cannot be denied that it has some hidden gems, such as the Pro-tox shampoo.

ALOE VERA.

Focused on optimal cleansing of the scalp, it leaves hair free of residue, but tight, making the use of a softening hair mask mandatory, and not optional. While it is true that there are shampoos that allow you to comb the hair in the second application, to detangle it before rinsing, this product makes such a step practically impossible.

CHERRY.

It softens hair, making it easy to comb, while eliminating any residue existing in it, but it continues to leave the hair a little dry after rinsing.

  • Hair mask.

Hair masks are sacred for afro hair, especially if it is type 4C, so, after having fallen in love with the Pro-Tox Cannabis hair mask Pro-Tox Cannabis hair mask, whose main ingredient is hemp, famous for leaving hair soft, and easy to style, my curiosity to discover another hidden gems, started to increase.

PRO-TOX.

Its main ingredients are keratin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid, which are famous for hydrating, repairing, and softening hair from inside. However, in my case, I ended up obtaining a fluffier and more malleable hair, full of life.

VEGAN SOUL.

I like the concept, the ingredients, but not the formula. Reading the ingredient list, one of the first things to identify, is how the majority of ingredients are from natural origin, allowing the brand to create a product that is practically free of synthetic ingredients, or those considered harmful.

However, although it is true that it has a set of beneficial ingredients, its formula fails for 4C afro hair, making it difficult to comb it, and technically not providing any type of benefit.

CHERRY.

Like the shampoo belonging to the same line, it smells incredibly good, and softens the hair.

ALOE VERA.

One of the best Kallos Cosmetics mask, along with the Cannabis Hair-Protox mask, since both leave the hair extremely soft, silky, and malleable for a long time (up to a week, especially with the Aloe Vera mask). Both are perfect for 4C afro hair, and have become my favorites.

Enjoying spring/summer 2022 with Very Vegan Garden Party by W7 Makeup (Review).

Friday, July 1, 2022

Here in Spain, after a beautiful spring, hot summer just arrived, and with it, a lot of new beauty products, like new makeup collections, and skincare lines. When I think about these two seasons, my mind is very clear: long-lasting fresh makeup, with floral tones.

This time, I ended up buying one of the new W7 makeup line: Very Vegan Garden Party. For those people who don’t know the brand, W7 makeup, is a very famous low-cost British makeup brand, like Revolution Beauty, with a lot of high-quality makeup products, being my favorites until the moment their eyeshadows palettes, and face powders, like the Banana Dreams (a classic one in my makeup collection).

This collection has one liquid lipstick, one eyeshadow palette, and one face palette, but I decided to try only the makeup palettes! And the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this makeup collection was a beautiful-enchanted garden hidden in the forest, full of flowers, where I can get lost.

What really caught my attention was the color range selection, as well as the texture of the products, and finishes: red, wines, cherries, champagnes, bronzers, and soft pinks; with metallics, satins, glitters, and mattes finish.

EYESHADOW PALETTE.

Beautiful colors, rich textures, and different finishes: matte, glitter, and satins. The combination of colors and finishes blends perfectly, without having the necessity to look for another eyeshadow color in any other palettes of my collection.

FACE PALETTE.

At first, I was a little bit scared, because some shades had a lot of shimmers, however, the finish on the skin of each product ended up really beautiful. However, in relation to the application of the products, it is advisable to go from less to more, modulating the desired level of intensity, due to its level of pigmentation.

In general, I think that this makeup collection is gorgeous, and perfect for a limitless use for this spring/summer, being ideal for day or evening makeup looks, but as I always said: the rules in makeup are made to be broken.

Updating my nail polish collection: amazing nail polishes for just 1E? My 2022 nail polish collection.

Wednesday, May 18, 2022

While I was thinking about the topic of the next post of this beauty blog, my mind just remembered that in 2021, I created a post about my nail polish collection, and keeping in mind that the collection still growing up (always), why not to create another post in 2022, to finally start turning this into an annual religion.

As you can guess by the title of this post, I have found some interesting brands in the Spanish nail polish market! The brand is Pink Duck, and to me, actually, it has most of the things I wish I could find when I was a teenager, particularly the nail polishes, for only 1 Euro!

The lines, the quality, and the color range are amazing, this Spanish brand just stole my hearth, and I want more nail polishes from them, but I’m taking my time. As with any nail polish, I use them with a gel topcoat (my favorite are the ones by Essie, Essence, and Clair’s), and they last on my nails one week with no problem. So, all I have to say about them are good things: nice coverage (two coats), good quality and color range, amazing lines, long-lasting, and easy to remove.

On the other hand, I bought nail polishes from Max Factor and Rimmel London, even I haven’t tried them yet, they look so sexy, particularly the one by Rimmel London (it feels like walk in high stiletto heels). Maybe this weekend will be the perfect time to put them on test.

I really can’t wait to see how this mini nail polish collection turns out, since there are so many goods ones out there calling my name and with it my wallet. Do you have any recommendations for me? I will read you in the comment section.
