Usually, when I'm going to have a very long day, with a
lot of things to do, a long-lasting makeup is needed, and with the current
times even more if is sweat proof, mask resistant, sebum control, comfortable,
light, with a buildable coverage (medium to high), and pore control.

As a women with sensitive combination to oily skin, in
a few words my T zone can be sometimes a headache, so I need something that help
me control my problematic zone, and that in general make me stay flawless all
the day long. But being honest, there no exist a magic formula at all, since even
the most expensive makeup products won’t work if they don’t have a good base to
be applied. So, remember: skin care always go first.
FACE.
I “double prime” my skin! But…what that means? I use my
makeup primer twice: as a first step before I put any type of makeup (even
brows) and mixed with my makeup foundation. I personally think that even if the
foundation is long-lasting, it needs help to work better, and is a thing that
you can check for yourself.
An important fact about makeup primers is that they
were created to help the foundation last longer and facilitate its application
even its texture (when is mixed with it): perfect fusion. Next, I use a
mattifying long-lasting face powder, to set everything and increase the sebum
control of my T zone.
By the way, for contour my face I prefer semi-mat or satin
finish instead dewy or absolute mat blushes, bronzers, or contour powders. They
last better and give a velvety healthy look to the face. Keep in mind that using
only mat or dewy products on face, can create the sensation of a dull or greasy
skin, so satin finish products are the perfect next step after foundation and
setting powder! We don’t want a stiff face, we want to healthy beautiful long-lasting
makeup look, to stay all day like a goddess.

BROWS & EYES.
For a perfect long-lasting brows, so my secret is in
three elements and the most fun thing is that I learned this from Claire Marshall:
primer, brow pomade, and an eye shadow of the same color to set the pomade,
making the brow look fuller. But if you already have fuller brows, you just
need a little bit of brow powder or a brow mascara.
On eyes, concealer all over the eye to correct and
create a uniform base, in this case I really love full coverage concealer, or a
nice buildable medium to high coverage. Depending on my necessities I will go
for a one with the same color of my skin, or one shade less.
I set all the area with face powder, or if I’m going
to use eyeshadow, I only set the under eye, since in my case, the eyeshadow stays
and looks better if I don’t set the concealer before the application.
Finally, for lashes, I rarely use water proof mascara. I focuse my self in lengthening eyelash mascara, to try to reach the sky with my lashes. And know is the moment to rectify, because now I know how this mascara works, and is really good!
LIPS.
Here to me the most important thing is that the
product was created to stay on the lips all day long: liquid lipsticks, lip
glosses, lipsticks, or lip tints… the range is extensive.
Even if in this case I decided to not use them, I leave
you good options. By the way, my favorites affordable lip glosses are the ones
by Essence and Nyx.
FINAL TOUCH.
Setting Spray to set and fix the makeup finish.
Remember, we have been putting a few products on the face, so we need to make
them look harmonious together.
